JCC’s Camp Chi is more
than just a summer camp

Camp Chi is such an extraordinary place where lifelong memories are made, skills are learned and friendships are created. We keep the magic going for campers and families throughout the fall, winter and spring by offering a variety of experiences and programs.

Our year-round events represent the same energy, creativity, quality and Jewish values as our summer programs and take place in Chicago or at camp.

Chi Town Connection

Chi Town Connection (CTC) provides teen campers with “what they want” – the opportunity to hang with camp friends throughout the school year. Founded in 2001, CTC provides Chicago area 8th–11th graders with an assortment of social and recreational opportunities supervised by Camp Chi staff. Past programs have included field trips to Great America and Broadway in Chicago shows as well as community service projects and lock-ins at the JCC. The Teen Leadership Advisory Board acts as a steering committee for CTC. Advisory Board members gain experience in developing, promoting and leading programs.

Youth Programs

Some campers just can’t get enough of Camp Chi. That’s why we’ve introduced year-round programming for Chi campers and their friends in 3rd-6th grades. Each event is tailored to the interests of younger campers, supervised by Chi staff, and brings a taste of Chi to Chicago. These programs are great for returning, new and prospective campers.

Winter Camp

Imagine the fun and ruach of camp in the snow! Winter Camp at the Perlstein Resort & Conference Center on the grounds of Camp Chi takes place during Winter Break. There is so much fun to be had while at camp – sports in the Chi Gym, games, bonfires, hayrides, arts & crafts, sledding and more. Winter Camp field trips add to the excitement. In the past, we’ve visited the indoor water park, gone snow tubing, played at the arcade and ice skated. Campers can also choose to spend the say on the slopes of a local ski resort. All of this entertainment is packed into 5 days/4 nights and supervised by Camp Chi staff.

Family Vacations

Camp is not just for kids anymore. At the Perlstein Resort & Conference Center on the grounds of Camp Chi, families can enjoy the activities of camp life within the comfort of hotel accommodations. Family Vacations are inclusive of meals, activities and entertainment as well as programs specifically for adults and activities designed kids of all ages.

We offer a variety of Family Vacations of varying length and focus.
