There are so many stars at Camp Chi. Emily Rosenberg, Max Moore and Jillian Mosk are all performing in Highland Park High School's rendition of A Chorus Line from February 11-14. Break a leg, everyone! Arielle Weinstein is running track this year at school. Her season begins this month. When Marti Pine got her driver's license in January, one of the first thing she did was drive to see Alexa Winestock and Sophia Weisberg. Alexa's 16th birthday is this month. Dana Abelson misses her camp friends so much! She is planning a Tsofim Girls 1 Second Session reunion. She can't wait to see everyone. When Karen Klass was visiting camp friends in Minnesota, she bumped into Sari Hattis. The Camp Chi and BBYO connection is really strong. At the BBYO Invite 2010, Marti Pine, Alexa Winestock, Eve Hirshman, Trudy Miller, Samantha Mason, David Schechtman, Aaron Appelbaum and Amanda Johnson participated in Shabbat services together by singing Chi songs. Other Chi'ers in attendance included Todd Saltzberg, Matt Wengerhoff and Jeremy Goldberg. Ellie Fromstein's basketball success continues! Her team took another Second Place victory at a tournament in St. Cloud, Minnesota. As we reported last month, Jack Rubinstein is gearing up with his band. He has already chosen the song he is going to perform in Chi's Got Talent this year -- Rock n' Roll by Led Zepplin. Jack wants everyone to "Rock On!" Kirstie Lawson is enjoying her first winter with snow! She is working and snowboarding at the Olympic Park in Calgary before returning home to sunny Australia. Scott Spector is becoming a politician... or, at least, he is working on Capitol Hill. Scott is an intern in Congressman Quigley's office in Washington, DC. Don't worry, though, he will still be at camp this summer. Mazel tov to Jordan Portnoy on her Bat Mitzvah in January. We are very proud of you!
Jamie Lake just returned from a CCUSA staff hiring trip in Australia. She hired awesome staff for this summer. While at the job fairs in Melbourne and Brisbane, she saw many former Chi staff, including Tom Keele, Bec Brown, Rachel Williams, Mel Simpson and Kylie Simpson. Beau Outteridge, who is returning to camp this summer, also helped out at the Sydney fair. Special thank you to the fabulous staff who worked at the recent Habo, Noar, SIT Reunion Weekend at Camp Chi - Jordy Blenner, Carrie Ross, Missi Jacobson, Michael Miller, Becca Gillett, Arielle Zats, Lauren Schmidt and Caryn Ross. Everyone had a fantastic time.
